Willie`s Grill & Ice House in New Braunfels

My experience at this place was good! My sever Cole was actually outstanding! The only reason I am not giving this place the last star is because my Willie's Chicken sandwich I order, it was not supposed not mayonnaise and it did. Will recommend though!

I was a little disappointed in the food. I had heard good reviews from a few of my friends and decided to try out their chicken fried steak. It was cooked the right amount of done but lacked flavor on the crust. The fries were crispy but drenched in salt. The loaded baked potato was anything but loaded. It had some sort of mayo sauce on top with some spring onions and bacon bits. But it lacked anything extraordinary. The only saving grace was probably the creamy gravy but that doesn't warrant another visit. They were maintaining good social distancing rules, kudos for that. However, if I were to give them another chance, I would try something else on the menu.

We had an incredible experience during our last visit to Willie's 07/05/2020. We were in town visiting family and stopped in for dinner. Food was great, but our service was the best. Our waiter, Cole, made sure everything came out correctly, drinks were constantly full, and anticipated everything we needed to take with us including a full bag of chips and more salsa & queso for the road. Thanks for a great dining experience!!

The food while still good is passable but what really gives this place a high mark is their service and drinks! I had a waitress, Stephanie, who was very hands on and polite! A bubbly personality that makes your visits feel like visiting an old friend while still providing all the drinks you can handle.

Good burger, good service. Fries are coated, so probably not gluten free for people who need to know. This place is clean and efficient

Nice place. Tables are clean, food was delicious, and waitress was fast and courteous. The hostess/receptionist seemed a bit angry but I believe she was just at the end of her shift and could not wait to finish. As soon as she got us our drinks, I saw her leave through the side door. Wife had the shrimp and fish, I had the cheese steak sandwich. Fish and shrimp were crispy and tested good. Cheese steak was scrumptious. Some places overload it with mushrooms and onions but this one had the perfect meat to veggies ratio. It's kid friendly and they are following the protocols very nicely. Thank you!!

The service was amazing, the frozen strawberry margaritas tasted good to me, but of course the food was the best part! It came to our tables hot and tasted absolutely delicious. I'm definitely going again, and recommend it.

This place is AMAZING the food and service have always been great. I've never had a complaint about this establishment. If I could give then more stars, I absolutely would. If you haven't gone yet, I highly suggest you do.
